The NP is responsible for patient assessment, management, ordering tests, diagnostics, treatments, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers to deliver family-centered care.
They are also involved in developing practice standards and research to improve care quality.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Apply knowledge of anatomy, neurology, microbiology, physiology, psychology, disabilities, pharmacology, gerontology, human development, and medical terminology in patient care.Conduct patient assessments, physical exams, collect data, prepare patients for tests, interpret lab results, diagnose, administer treatments, and perform minor surgeries.Diagnose and treat injuries, diseases, and deformities, understanding symptoms, treatment options, drug interactions, and preventive care.Complete accurate patient coding, maintain medical reports, and manage medical supplies.Lead clinical shifts, ensure smooth patient processing, and serve as a resource and mentor to staff and students.Qualifications:Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.Proficiency with computerized medical records and billing systems.Professional appearance, excellent communication skills, HIPAA compliance.Licenses and certifications: NP license, ATLS, BCLS (upon hire).
