The Role We currently have the opportunity for an enthusiastic Dietitian to join our Allied Health team.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to experience a varied caseload including gastrointestinal surgery, general medical, ICU, cardiac and orthopaedics.As a Dietitian your responsibilities will include:Demonstrated proficient skills and knowledge in the provision of current Nutrition & Dietetic practice.
A strong commitment to an evidence-based service to provide for consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, case management, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planningDemonstrated proficiency in the ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
Have the ability to prioritise work, manage a demanding workload, apply high level reasoning skills and have independent professional judgementAbility to provide leadership and direction in assisting the flexible utilisation of resources to enhance service deliveryBachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia.
Evidence of extensive clinical experience with a minimum as a Level 2 DietitianBachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent)Current Accredited Practicing Dietitian StatusExperience in the acute hospital system, with specific knowledge of TPN, PEG and Enteral feedsExceptional time management and communication skillsAbility to work autonomouslyAbility to work within a multidisciplinary teamCommitment to ongoing education and the provision of evidence based practice Why Healthscope?
