Overview

Dietitian role at Healthscope – Norwest Private Hospital. The facility has 277 beds and an Emergency Department in Bella Vista.

The Role

We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Dietitian to join our Allied Health team. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to experience a varied caseload including gastrointestinal surgery, general medical, ICU, cardiac and orthopaedics.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrated proficient skills and knowledge in the provision of current Nutrition & Dietetic practice with an evidence-based service to consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, case management, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
  • Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision, prioritise work, manage a demanding workload, apply high level reasoning skills and exercise independent professional judgement.
  • Provide leadership and direction in assisting the flexible utilisation of resources to enhance service delivery.
  • Bachelor or post-graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia; evidence of extensive clinical experience with a minimum as a Level 2 Dietitian.
Essential Criteria
  • Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent)
  • Current Accredited Practising Dietitian Status
  • Experience in the acute hospital system with knowledge of TPN, PEG and Enteral feeds
  • Exceptional time management and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Proven excellence in customer service delivery
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to ongoing education and the provision of evidence-based practice
