The role involves education in the home promoting independence in domestic duties and personal care, access to the community, social guidance and transportation to access programs.

Each Support educator is matched to the family based on the skills and experience they can bring to the program. Educators are provided with ongoing training and mentoring, to ensure the highest level of care at all times.
- Cert III or IV or equivalent and relevant experience in the disability care industries.
- Current NDIS workers screening check
- Current first aid and CPR certificate
- Valid driver's license
- Access to a vehicle with full comprehensive insurance
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate

Core objectives of the position include:

- Provide support to participants with physical and/or intellectual disabilities
- Understand and provide appropriate care to participants with high needs who demonstrate a range of challenging behaviours
- Assisting with activities relating to daily living, community support, and empowerment
- Work under general guidance from the person seeking support, and their family, within clearly defined guidelines

For successful applicants, interviews will be conducted in Blackburn.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $30.00 - $48.00 per hour
