**About the role**

In partnership with the Director of Nursing and Department Head, support the Division of Paediatrics to achieve optimum health outcomes and effective and efficient utilisation of business assets and human resources in relation to Children's Health.

Support leadership in the area of medical policy and strategic direction and work closely with the Head of Department to provide comprehensive information, analysis and timely advice on all matters affecting Paediatric Services.

As a member of the Women's and Children's Services Directorate, the appointee will support leadership in achieving and upholding the Ballarat Health Services Mission, Vision and Objectives.

This position extends to the entire Grampians region, with the role encompassing a coordination of paediatric care throughout the region, both in the inpatient and ambulatory environments.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the development and maintenance of Paediatric Services
- In consultation with the Head of Department, assist in the development of paediatric services, objectives, policies and program
- Provide clinical leadership by facilitating teamwork and providing mentoring and professional support to junior clinical staff.

**Skills and experience**
- Medical registration in the State of Victoria
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physician (Paediatrics) or equivalent
