Base pay range
A$180,000.00/yr - A$210,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and interpret business requirements for complex technology projects.
Act as the Solution Architect for one or two concurrent projects, balancing architectural vision with practical delivery milestones.
Design comprehensive end-to-end solution architectures addressing scalability, reliability, security, deployment, and integration needs.
Produce detailed design documentation that communicates technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Provide advisory services throughout the project lifecycle, supporting product and project managers in achieving successful outcomes.
Work in a post-sales capacity to ensure solutions are implemented according to specifications and standards.
Offer technical guidance to project teams on systems configuration management and best practices.
Ensure configurations align with organisational goals and industry standards for quality and compliance.
Participate in design reviews within a collaborative team environment focused on delivering cyber security market products.
Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing knowledge gained from projects with colleagues.
What you bring
To excel as a Solutions Engineer and Architect in a consultancy setting, you will have proven experience across systems engineering disciplines—particularly networks, infrastructure management, and cloud native approaches for on-premises deployments.
You should have strong documentation skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical designs.
You will work closely with product managers, project managers, and fellow engineers to guide projects from conception through delivery.
A passion for cyber security solutions and knowledge sharing is essential.
Demonstrated experience in architecture, design and systems engineering with a background in networks, infrastructure, and cloud native technologies for on-premises environments.
Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to elicit requirements and translate them into actionable designs.
Experience producing comprehensive design documentation for technical teams and business decision-makers.
Track record of providing technical guidance within multidisciplinary project teams delivering secure technology solutions.
Familiarity with configuration management principles ensuring alignment with objectives and best practices.
Understanding of end-to-end solution architecture considerations including scalability, reliability, security, deployment, and integration.
Experience with or alongside defence, telecommunications, or security-focused organisations is highly regarded but not essential.
Commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing within a supportive team environment.
