**About the Role**:
We are currently looking for an experienced procurement professional to join our team as a Category Manager
- Network Services in a full time and permanent capacity based at our Market Street Head Office.
This position is responsible for developing and engaging effective and strategic suppliers within the Network Services area of the business. As part of this you will design and implement category level sourcing plans and strategies, identify and develop innovative concepts and use industry knowledge to monitor and adjust strategies in-line with the business requirements. In addition, the role will be responsible for establishing strong supplier relationships and ensure operational efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness in all aspects of CitiPower Powercor's third party relationships within the Network Services category.
Reporting to the Group Procurement Manager this role will play a key part in maximising the contribution to our sustainable competitive advantage through effective management of Procurement strategies with a commercial mindset.
**In this role you will deliver**:
- Contribute to procurement savings targets
- Conduct detailed spend and market analysis to develop and maintain category strategies covering key Network spend areas
- Close out market engagements and implement appropriate commercial mechanism
- Share detailed Network category knowledge and communicate this knowledge to appropriately advise business units and stakeholders
- Undertake lessons learned debriefs with Stakeholders and ensure any issues or clarifications on Procurement outcomes are addressed in appropriate timeframe.
- Develop and implement supplier process improvement projects where required
- Establish strong supplier relationship and ensure operational efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness
**To succeed in this role you will have**:
- Strong procurement experience and commercial acumen. Experience across the full range of procurement activities including category management, supplier relationship management, and strategic sourcing.
- Strong experience managing the activities of a cross functional Project teams
- Degree Qualified - Commerce, Business, Law, Engineering or Information Technology
- MCIPs Membership (or in the process of capturing membership qualification) is desirable
- Extensive experience of end-to-end procurement knowledge with hands-on experience within a major corporate organisation
