Overview
2026 Medical Administration Registrar– Barwon Health.
Temporary Full Time role based at University Hospital Geelong with potential short rotations to other Barwon Health sites.
86 hours per fortnight.
The trainee will be part of the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, providing senior management and training experience and participating in strategic clinical services planning and quality improvement initiatives across a regional network.
Responsibilities
Provide senior management and training within the Office of the Chief Medical Officer; contribute to clinical governance, medical workforce and education, clinical operations, medico-legal, change management, service improvement and research governance.
Participate in strategic clinical services planning and quality improvement initiatives across Barwon Health's regional network.
Work with three consultant Medical Administrators (FRACMA) and benefit from protected teaching and training time; participate in local and College education and CPD activities.
Role may be tailored to meet RACMA training requirements and provide opportunities to undertake fellowship examinations.
Primary placement at University Hospital Geelong with possible short-term rotations to other Barwon Health sites as appropriate.
Qualifications / Experience
Exposure to medical administration and leadership across clinical governance, medical workforce and education, clinical operations, and related governance areas as described in the role description.
Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (FRACMA) experience; RACMA training requirements may be tailored to the trainee's needs.
