About the Role
Deliver the overall project, program and portfolio reporting to ensure that the organisations leadership has the information they need to drive meaningful decisions. The role includes owning the reporting framework, analysis of portfolio performance and oversight of key data. In doing so, design and continuously improve the framework to ensure it reliably delivers key indicators of portfolio performance, including lead indicators that are critical to effective portfolio performance management.

Duties

Portfolio Planning & Reporting Specialist
you will:
Responsible for the coordination, collation and distribution of slide packs (and other related artefacts) for regular reporting rhythms and governance forums including Business Planning Committee (BPC) and Group Executive Team (GET).
Develop and maintain processes which capture the timing of key events from pipeline and inflight initiatives to form a "roadmap" view that can act as a communication tool for delivery teams, sponsors, and investment owners.
Provide advice, guidance, and quality checks across initiatives plans (schedules, sprints, etc.) to ensure there is effective initiative planning behind the enterprise level milestones.
Identify key initiative information and ensure it is captured consistently and can be displayed and communicated in a meaningful way across the entire project / product lifecycle.
Provide analysis and recommendations on short, medium and long-term Portfolio considerations in terms of sequencing, critical dependencies, and funding such that the impact on key outcomes and benefits is understood.
Provide practical advice to delivery teams across varied delivery methodologies to enable wholistic portfolio management, and ensure guidance is clear, easy to understand and produce reliable data outcomes which can be achieved within the time constraints of the reporting ecosystem.
Liaise with and guide stakeholders to determine the nature of reporting for differently shaped initiatives and timings to support current and emerging needs of the project portfolio.
Develop reporting solutions for emerging needs ensuring requirements can be clearly understood and retain traceability across design, development, implementation, testing and embedment of solutions.
Prepare a range of initiative related documents and ad-hoc reporting, including status updates, budgets and discussion papers.
Work collaboratively with teams to ensure coordination of activity and reporting across Program Delivery and the whole of icare
Skills & Experience
Well-developed project management skills or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through practical experience, with a sound understanding of project management techniques and methodologies.
Well-developed collaborative approach to stakeholder management
A broad range of experience (10 years) in portfolio management and project delivery
Previous experience in establishing and monitoring portfolio roadmaps, including determining and reporting on the implications of changing priorities.
Previous experience with project portfolio management tool (PPM, Planview, Power Platform) highly regarded
Tertiary level qualifications and/or Project Management qualification (MoP, Prince2, PMP/CAPM, PMI or Six Sigma) highly regarded
