**Screen Build & Print Assistants (x2)**

Super Special, based in Brooklyn, is seeking** 2 Screen Build & Print Assistants.** This is a casual position, however we are able to guarantee full time working hours for the next 2 months.

With the view of providing ongoing casual shifts after this 2 month period.

**What does a day in the life look like** as a **Screen Build & Print Assistant **at Super Special?**
- Assist our awesome, experienced and passionate screenprinters where required
- Wash out screens and prep for print
- including Prep inks for print run
- Update all paperwork relating to screen library/meshes/colors etc and file screen accordingly
- Load and Unload garments in print
- Compares ink prepared for print run with master color swatch to confirm accuracy of match.
- Examines product for inaccurate registration, position of design, or other defects and informs screen printer to adjust equipment accordingly.
- Clean, store and/or reclaim screens in accordance with demand.
- Follow WIP and production calendar to identify priority jobs to be prepped
- **Flexibility**:remains open minded and adapts quickly based on new information, adapts to varying stakeholder needs, performs a wide variety of tasks and changes focus quickly as demands change
- **Initiative and creativity**: demonstrate a willingness to experiment and try new things, plans work and carries out tasks without detailed instructions, able to challenge conventional practices and pursues ongoing system improvement
- **Good judgement**:makes sound, evidence-based decisions, analyses problems skilfully and uses logic to reach conclusions
- **Ability to work with mínimal supervision**:Ability to operate independently and demonstrate leadership in assigned portfolio areas
- **Determined**:Shows persistence to continue working for solutions in the face of resistance
- **Demonstrated ability to be self-directed**, taking initiative and with the ability to work to deadlines in a collaborate, professional and confident manner across a busy, team-based environment
- **Experience**:Previous experience as a Screen Build or Print Assistant highly regarded.
