Great Barrier Reef and Marine Parks (GBR&MP) Region are excited to share an incredible opportunity for a Ranger to join the team in a newly created position.
As one of the six regions of the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service, the GBR&MP Region delivers conservation and management activities across land and sea including implementing the Reef Joint Field Management Program.

The Location:
Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) is an ideal location, located within Moreton Bay, it offers easy access to stunning coastal views and vibrant marine life. With Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) as your office, you'll not only enjoy a dynamic work environment but also the chance to engage with one of Queensland's most beautiful natural treasures.
Note: work-related passenger ferry travel between Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) and Cleveland is included with the position.
Role focus:
- Demonstrate a deep connection to Quandamooka sea country and a commitment to help protect the cultural and ecological values within Moreton Bay Marine Park.
- Help lead teams to perform tasks and deliver project outcomes to a high standard.
- Conduct compliance and enforcement activities.
To be considered you must:
- Hold an unrestricted manual driver's license
- Provide your current resume (max 4 pages), and
- Provide a short statement (max 2 pages) explaining your interest in the role and what strengths you will bring relevant to the 'role focus' section of this advertisement.
- Have and maintain good physical fitness as this is a hands-on role.
- A Coxswain certificate is highly desirable but not a mandatory requirement.
