**About The Company**

Melsteel, an established steel manufacturer in Melbourne, Victoria for over 30 years, seeks the following technical personnel to work in a small team environment within a purpose-built machine and fabrication complex.

**About The Role - Structural Steel Fabricator**:
A Structural Steel Fabricator is highly skilled in cutting and joining steel materials together using various welding techniques.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

- Reading and interpreting drawings to determine job requirements
- Cutting and joining steel materials together using various welding techniques
- Operating welding tools, hand tools and fabrication machinery
- Performing routine maintenance tasks on equipment
- Ensuring a safe work environment and adhering to health and safety protocols

**Skills & Experience required**:

- Must be able to interpret drawings to achieve mark out, assembly, fabrication
- Understand and comply with weld and other procedures, Quality Standards and attention to detail
- Demonstrate by experience to weld and fabricate Structural Steel, Pipework and Plate. Other materials such as stainless and alloy would be beneficial
- Ideal qualifications Metal Fabricator (322311), Pressure Welder (322312), Welder (First Class - 322313).

The salary is $70,000 AUD per annum. This role is offered as a permanent position on a full-time basis.
