OverviewFood & Beverage Supervisors - The Star SydneyAs a Food & Beverage Supervisor reporting to the Venue Manager, you will support leading a team to deliver the daily operations of the venue and provide an exceptional guest experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity to create a unique dining experience for our guests with a hands-on approach to maintain efficiency of service, product knowledge and technical knowledge.The Star Sydney offers multiple venues including Sokyo, BLACK Bar and Grill, Cucina Porto, The Star Event Centre, The Lyric Theatre, Antidote, Sports Bar and Oasis Dining, with a focus on delivering outstanding hospitality experiences.A few of your responsibilitiesSupervise the team on shift and assist with training, development and performance managementSet daily performance objectives for the team and supervise the service flow and performance standardsEnsure accurate cash handling procedures are followedAssist the Venue Manager to support achievement of financial and operational targetsEnsure an open line of communication at all times through daily shift briefings, and ensure a smooth transition and handover between shiftsMonitor the quality of food and service to ensure high standards are maintainedEnsure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the workplace and coordinate the maintenance and upkeep of all equipment and materialsWhat we are looking forSupervisory experience within a similar busy hospitality environment including a thorough knowledge of food and beveragesExceptional guest service skills with a proactive attitude and natural ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of guestsHighly organised and detail-orientedFlexible availability to meet the venue operating hoursCurrent NSW RSA cardAbout youAs an expert within food & beverage, you understand the essence of leading a team to deliver world-class service.
