Location: Melbourne - CBD and Inner Metro suburbsReference: VG/1881295About usThe Department of Government Services (DGS) wasestablishedon 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government.We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses.We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.About the roleAs a Senior Salesforce Developer you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing and maintaining innovative solutions within our Salesforce ecosystem.
Leveraging your extensive experience in Salesforce development, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient technical solutions.
Your expertise will be instrumental in architecting solutions that optimise Salesforce functionalities including customisation, integration and automation.
Additionally, you will participate in initiatives to continuously improve and optimise our Salesforce platform, staying abreast of Salesforce technologies and best practices.About youProven experience in designing, developing and implementing Salesforce solutions – understanding of Salesforce development best practiceProven competency in development and testing standards ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutionsDemonstrated problem solving ability - able to translate complex problems into effective solutionsExperience in mentoring or coaching more junior team membersGreat communication skills and ability to build effective professional relationships with both business leaders and team membersStakeholder engagement – able to effectively work with both internal and external stakeholdersSignificant demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the areas of OmniStudio, Platform, Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud and/or Public Sector Solutions (PSS)Certifications commensurate with your areas of knowledge and expertiseExperience optimising the SDLC working in an agile delivery environmentKey accountabilitiesCollaborate with Product, Service Delivery Management, Business Analyst and other stakeholders to understand product / solution requirementsDesign and develop scalable and efficient solutions using SalesforceMaintain, support and upgrade complex Salesforce software systemsTesting and Quality AssuranceConduct thorough unit testing of developed softwareSetting technical standards and approaches for the teamOversee coding standards and ensure adherence by conducting code reviewsWork closely with cross-functional teams to provide technical expertise / leadership on Salesforce solutionsCollaborate with system architects and other developers to ensure seamless integration between systemsKeep documentation up to date with any changes or enhancementsTroubleshoot and resolve production issues ensuring the stability and performance of all Salesforce systems and applicationsFor specificresponsibilitiesplease review the attached position description.This position is only open to applicants with relevant rights to work in Australia.How to applyApply before the advertised closing date 11:59pm on 14th September 2025.
