Senior Engagement OfficerAre you a strategic leader in communications with a passion for shaping communities?
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Communications Advisor to join a leading state government team on the stunning Sunshine Coast.
This is a hands-on, autonomous role where you will be instrumental in developing and executing high-level communication and stakeholder engagement strategies for major infrastructure projects.If you have a knack for turning complex plans into compelling stories and building strong relationships, this is your opportunity to lead impactful projects from end to end.The OpportunityAs the Senior Communications Advisor, you will take the lead on all communication and engagement activities for significant infrastructure projects.
You will be a "doer," working autonomously to:Develop and implement comprehensive communication and engagement strategies.Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and community groups.Craft clear, relatable content for media releases, social media, and public materials.Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on all matters of public relations and communications.About YouYou are a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in communications, public relations, and stakeholder engagement.
You thrive in a high-profile, fast-paced environment and have a proven ability to work independently.Essential Criteria:Extensive experience developing and executing stakeholder and community engagement strategies.A strong background in communications and public relations.The ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of projects.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.10+ years experience minimum Must be able to take the lead on large scale infrastructure projects You will be the architect of our community relationships, responsible for developing and implementing sophisticated engagement strategies that ensure smooth project delivery and foster genuine community trust.This role is for someone who not only communicates but connects, creating robust engagement frameworks that bring communities and stakeholders along on the journey of major infrastructure change.Your primary focus will be on leading the strategic development of stakeholder and community engagement, designing the blueprint for how we interact with the public and build lasting partnerships.Highly Desirable:Experience in government and/or infrastructure projects.A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.Must have experience developing a strategy around community and stakeholder engagement This role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on your community.
