Seasonal - Freight Handler

As our Seasonal Freight Handler, you'll be working at a facility where you'll be responsible for sorting parcels in preparation for delivery, providing a vital service to our local community during our busiest time of the year.
We're now hiring for our seasonal period.
Seasonal team members generally commence in October and November, assisting us to deliver until around Christmas.
Eligible visa holders are encouraged to apply.
You'll be paid:
Junior rates apply to applicants under 21 years old
Some roles may also attract penalty rates for overtime, evening, and weekend work

You'll be:
Operating load-shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers in coordination with operations staff to transport mail into the facility
Working with processing equipment and lines
Manually loading and unloading mail from bags, trays, containers, and cages (Unit Loading Devices)
Sorting parcels and mail, manually and with machine assistance, using scanners
About you:
You are comfortable in a physically demanding role, able to lift up to 30kgs regularly, with good memory and attention to detail
You are safety-conscious and able to operate equipment like conveyors, pallet jacks, and lifting devices safely
You thrive in a fast-paced environment with routine compliance checks
You are willing to handle parcels containing meat and/or alcohol products
