Job Title:
Healthcare Specialist
The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide senior nursing leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide health coaching and education for patients with chronic cardiac conditions.
Work closely alongside the CNC Cardiac Rehabilitation to support patients through rehabilitation education sessions.
Employ advanced clinical skills and exercise extended autonomy of decision-making.
Requirements:
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification.
Ability to prioritise and problem solve to manage complex clinical care needs of patients.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with advanced interpersonal and problem solving skills.

Working Environment:
The CNS2 for Cardiac Rehabilitation provides health coaching and health education for patients with a chronic cardiac condition. The CNS2 will provide support through rehabilitation education sessions at RPA, working closely alongside the CNC Cardiac Rehabilitation. The role requires the suitable candidate to possess cardiology experience with interest and experience in health education. The position works Monday to Friday business hours.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) will provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service.
