Overview Our client, a leading civil construction company, is looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join their team in the Ryde & Macquarie Park area.
You will provide advice and recommendations to senior management, develop procurement processes, and help bring their processes to the next phase.
Salary & Benefits Salary up to $160k + super (depending on experience) Responsibilities Provide advice and recommendations to senior management on procurement strategies Engage with key business stakeholders to facilitate and promote procurement activities Develop and implement procurement processes as per organisational needs Maintain the principles of procurement probity Assess the requirement for formal contracts with major suppliers Review spend reporting and market engagement opportunities to drive cost reductions Develop strong supplier relationships to support organisational objectives Lead Modern Slavery compliance activities Promote a positive working relationship with coworkers, suppliers, and partners About You Tertiary Qualifications (Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field) and Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management Minimum of 8 years in a procurement or supply chain role High level of commercial acumen with a strategic mindset Experience in business process improvement and change management Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal Previous experience working across different cultures and maintaining key relationships Advanced Microsoft Office skills Additional Details Location: Ryde & Macquarie Park area, Sydney Workplace Type: Hybrid Experience Level: Mid Management Industry: Purchasing and Procurement Contract Type: Permanent Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
