About the Role

We have a new opportunity for a Buying Specialist to join Corporate Buying.

The Buying Specialist (Corporate) is responsible for identifying opportunities for consolidating and contracting and/or automating buying to reduce manual intervention while delivering value to the business. This role includes providing business support, training, obtaining quotes, and executing low to medium risk and low value contracts for corporate spend where required. The role will work closely with the internal stakeholders (including Strategic Procurement, P2P Systems and Data, Governance & Reporting) to ensure compliance with P2P related policy.

What you'll be doing:

- Identify, opportunities for low to medium risk and low value suppliers to develop arrangements where spend or repetition lends itself to cost reduction and efficiency,
- Develop, maintain and execute the strategy for nominated corporate contracts such as for Travel and other areas of spend
- Ensure SOW's and spend are managed consistent to their Master Agreements
- Undertake contract management and governance activities.
- Run sourcing or tender events where required including obtaining quotes, executing contracts and maintenance of existing low value low risk contracts.
- Provide guidance to business stakeholders to ensure compliance with P2P related policy and process,
- Identify and highlight opportunities for developing contracts,
- Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders raising requisitions,
- Manage travel related and fleet related enquiries,
- Work closely with the Governance team to ensure that P2P policy, Standards and Procedures can be easily implemented

About You

What you'll bring to the table:

- Tertiary qualifications associated with Procurement; Business and/or Commerce is preferred
- Inherent ability to use effective negotiating skills in a consultative and constructive manner
- Must be able to display effective relationship management with all stakeholders and external suppliers
- Requires an understanding of a procurement environment, including policies and processes;
- SAP S/4HANA, Concur and Fieldglass skills desirable
- Intermediate Excel skills
