Overview
Join to apply for the Lead Specialist Project Controls role at GOLD FIELDS, based in Perth.
This role is part of the Global Capital Projects team and spans the full project lifecycle—from early scoping through to execution—and covers estimating, cost control, scheduling, and change management at both project and portfolio levels.
Responsibilities
Establish and lead the project controls function; implement a new project controls system (Contruent – Prism); develop governance and procedures.
Manage portfolio reporting and the Authorisation for Expenditure (AFE) process.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive consistency, insight, and performance across the global capital portfolio.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification and deep expertise in project controls, estimating, scheduling or risk, with experience across studies and execution phases in mining projects.
Experience across EPCM, contractor, and owners' teams environments; ideally with site-based exposure; proven ability to implement systems and standards.
Collaborative, influential, and able to distill complex data into clear insights, balancing detailed analysis with strategic, system-level thinking.
