Gold Fields is a globally diversified gold producer with nine operating mines in Australia, South Africa, Ghana, Peru, Canada and Chile.
Gold Fields' mining assets in the Australia region include a 100% interest in the St Ives, Agnew and Granny Smith mines and a 50:50 interest in the Gruyere JV project with Gold Road Resources.
At Gold Fields, we're proud to be one of the world's leading gold producers — but more importantly, we're a team united by a commitment to safety, respect, and creating lasting value for our people and communities.
We're currently seeking a Lead Specialist Project Controls to join our Global Capital Projects team in Perth, where you'll play a pivotal role in establishing and leading our project controls function. This role spans the full project lifecycle — from early scoping through to execution — and covers estimating, cost control, scheduling, and change management at both project and portfolio levels.
You'll be responsible for implementing a new project controls system (Contruent - Prism), developing governance and procedures, managing portfolio reporting, and overseeing the Authorisation for Expenditure (AFE) process. This is a unique opportunity to build a function from the ground up, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive consistency, insight, and performance across our global capital portfolio.
You bring a tertiary qualification and deep expertise in project controls, estimating, scheduling or risk, with experience across studies and execution phases in mining projects. You've worked across EPCM, contractor, and owners team environments — ideally with site-based exposure — and have successfully implemented systems and standards. You're collaborative, influential, and able to distill complex data into clear insights, balancing detailed analysis with strategic, system-level thinking.
Gold Fields offers competitive remuneration packages including short- and long-term incentives, private health insurance allowance, salary continuance and life insurance, and access to long service leave after five years. We're committed to a high-performance culture grounded in safety, integrity, and enduring value beyond mining.
At Gold Fields, we are dedicated to creating a workplace culture that reflects our commitment to our core values, emphasizes safety, and drives high performance, to help us fulfill our purpose of creating enduring value beyond mining.

Gold Fields is committed to achieving an inclusive workforce. We recognise that the diverse talent of our people will ultimately determine our growth, performance and success.
