Senior Network Engineer

OverviewWe're seeking a highly capable Senior Network Engineer to support a major global network transformation initiative within the mining sector.
This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
The project involves deploying a Megaport WAN and connecting over 60 remote sites using DMVPN.ResponsibilitiesDesign and deploy a multi-site WAN across Australia, Indonesia, India, Canada, USA, and ChileImplement and manage DMVPN, BGP, and QoS configurationsDefine and maintain network architecture including routing, security, and connectivityConfigure and manage Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS, Panorama, GlobalProtect)Produce clear and concise documentationParticipate in after-hours change management as requiredCollaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership (80:20 Project vs BAU)Required Skills & ExperienceStrong hands-on expertise with DMVPN, BGP, QoSIn-depth knowledge of Palo Alto Networks technologiesAbility to troubleshoot complex network issues across diverse environmentsExcellent communication and documentation skillsWillingness to travel occasionally to remote mining sitesExperience with Megaport and/or SD-WAN technologiesApproximately every 2 months, the Senior Network Engineer will be expected to visit remote mining sites across WA, QLD, and NSW for 2–4 days.
