Overview

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our client's team in Brisbane, supporting the design and deployment of complex IP networks. This is a hands-on technical role where you will play a key part in building and maintaining highly available, secure, and scalable networks for critical infrastructure.

You will work alongside a team of highly skilled engineers and project specialists, taking ownership of network design, deployment, and troubleshooting activities. This position offers exposure to large-scale rail projects and the chance to work with cutting-edge Cisco technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Cisco-based IP networks.
  • Deliver solutions across IP/MPLS architectures to ensure scalability and resilience.
  • Support end-to-end project delivery, from requirements gathering to implementation.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting, optimisation, and escalation support for network issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment of communication systems in critical infrastructure environments.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge-sharing within the team.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years' experience in IP network design, deployment, and support.
  • Cisco CCNP (or higher) certification.
  • Hands-on expertise with Cisco routing, switching, and security solutions.
  • Strong experience with IP/MPLS design and deployment.
  • Exposure to mission-critical environments (highly desirable).
