Our Ideal Candidate Profile
Our organization seeks an experienced Data Architect who has worked within Australian Public Service settings, preferably in agencies with regulatory compliance responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in assessing and optimizing data holdings to ensure effective execution of business operational and strategic responsibilities and goals.
The successful candidate will possess well-developed oral and written communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, including negotiation and presentation skills for diverse audiences. They will be able to establish and maintain relationships, collaborate with stakeholders, and adhere to the Australian Public Service Values, our organization's values, and Code of Conduct.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
In consultation with key stakeholders, map existing data holdings, inputs, and dependencies impacted by the project.
Investigate and recommend optimization of the use of data holdings for different streams of the project.
Design and implement data architecture and integration frameworks that enable best practice data lifecycle management and ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, and regulations.
Develop documentation to support renewed data processes.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to optimize existing reporting processes, including setting standards for data accuracy and quality.
Monitor the effectiveness of revised and renewed data processes, adapting the approach when new information is presented.
Apply critical thinking to the project and guide end users to adopt a similar mindset.
Work collaboratively with other areas in the organization, across government, and with external partners to deliver outcomes and share knowledge.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance (policies, processes, access, compliance).
