- Job Description Summary

Be part of a new way forward for road network management in Victoria. We're looking for Works Monitoring Officers to start immediately, based out of our Melbourne, CBD office.
- About the Role

Service Stream has been awarded the Metropolitan Victorian Road Maintenance Contract (VRMC) - South Central Region by the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) Victoria. We are now delivering routine maintenance and defect rectification works, as well as refurbishment and upgrade projects, under a major long-term contract with the Victorian Government.

We have an opportunity for Works Monitoring Officers to join our team in a permanent, casual or job-share role based out of the Network Intelligence & Operations Centre (NIOC) in our brand new office at 655 Collins Street This position works on a weekly rotating roster between the Works Monitoring Officers from 6am to 2pm, 8am to 4pm and 10am to 6pm.

About The Role

In this role, you will support the safe, compliant and efficient completion of all VRMC Works.

Key responsibilities:
- Tracking Works Delivery in real-time to minimise disruption / access issues for road users and communities and enable crews to deliver works safely and efficiently.- Coordinating responses to network incidents and emergencies, updating the DTP Traffic Management Centre in relation to traffic management measures and / or disruptions.- Liaising with Inspectors, Supervisors and the Pre-Works team to prioritise completion of urgent hazard rectification works identified during a shift.-
- Producing Shift Completion reports, highlighting any negative variances to the Shift Plan.

About You- At least a few years' experience monitoring, coordinating or delivering high volume works in a road maintenance,civil construction or logistics/supply chain environment.- Ability to be a committed team player who drives for service excellence and continuous improvement.- Sound knowledge of, or willingness to learn work methodologies for road maintenance operations, including safety, traffic management, access, permit and licensing requirements.- Exceptional time-management skills and attention to detail in document control, data management and general administration tasks.-
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, evidenced by productive working relationships with customers, colleagues and delivery partners.- A relentless focus on workforce, road user and community safety in your approach to all tasks.- Formal qualifications (Cert III or higher) in civil construction, logistics or customer service are a bonus, but not essential if you can demonstrate equivalent knowledge and capability.
