**Warehouse & Distribution Manager - Dandenong South**

The company is expanding rapidly and seeking a proactive leader to enhance its warehouse and distribution operations.

**About the Role**: Reporting directly to the State Manager, you will lead the warehouse and distribution teams to optimize workflow, improve productivity, and ensure seamless operations. You will play a key role in strategic planning, workforce management, and enhancing distribution efficiency while upholding the highest standards of safety and customer service.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Strategic Leadership & Operational Efficiency**: Develop and implement distribution strategies to maximize productivity, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
- **Warehouse & Distribution Management**: Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring timely order fulfillment, stock accuracy, and adherence to safety regulations.
- **Staff Development & Team Leadership**: Recruit, train, and mentor warehouse and logistics personnel, fostering a high-performance culture. Ability to lead daily, weekly and monthly meetings with team is a must-have.
- **Process Improvement**: Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies such as Kanban to optimize workflow and minimize waste.
- **Customer-Focused Distribution**: Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- **Safety & Compliance**: Champion workplace safety, ensuring compliance with WHS regulations and company policies.
- **Collaboration & Communication**: Work closely with operations, production, and sales teams to align warehouse and distribution goals with broader business objectives.
- **Budget & Cost Control**: Manage staffing and resource allocation within budget while identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- **Stock Control & Inventory Management**: Oversee stocktakes and inventory processes to maintain accuracy and efficiency.

**About You**:

- Proven experience in warehouse, distribution, and logistics management.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a focus on staff development.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanning, and MS Office (Excel & Word essential).
- Experience in implementing and managing lean manufacturing principles such as Kanban.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A results-driven mindset with a passion for operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
