
Space Planner

We have multiple opportunities for Space planners to join our Space & Range team on a 12 month fixed term maternity leave cover contract, based in Sydney. In this role you will get to partner with the Commercial Team, Operation Leaders and collaborate end-to-end across business functions to support the range review process including the development, updating and maintenance of planograms and layouts contributing to the category strategy.
The Space & Range Team is made up of smart people with smart ideas, helping to co-create the overall category plan right across BIG W. We're a team that is curious, resourceful and willing to experiment with everything that we do. We analyse customer & market insights and data to come up with clear category plans, and we partner with our commercial, stores, marketing and replenishment teams to influence the location, range, price, flow and the shopping experience of our categories.

About the Opportunity
The key function of this role is drawing analysis from customer & market trends. Utilising visual merchandise principles, you will get to partner closely with your stakeholders to continuously improve the product performance to make a massive and positive impact on the overall customer shopping experience.
Some additional key responsibilities include:
- Analyse customer data & market insights to make recommendations on our products spacing and ranging initiatives
- Partner closely with Operation and Support Office Teams to continuously improve our planogram roll outs
- Work end to end with stakeholders to deliver project milestones and deliver planograms into stores as per scheduled timelines
- Utilising visual merchandise principles to build a planogram that contribute positively towards our customer shopping experience
- Participate in and support initiatives that drive continuous improvement for the business performance
- Support with any planogram related queries

- Previous experience working in a retail industry is desirable
- Experience using JDA or Spaceman or Autocad Lite is desirable
