**Engineering Operations Manager - 5-Star Hotels in Sydney CBD**

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Operations Manager to oversee all engineering and maintenance functions for a leading 5-star hotel in Sydney's CBD. This is a key role responsible for maintaining high standards of operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage the engineering and maintenance team of 20+ staff.
- Oversee all technical services, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, including preventive maintenance programs
- Manage departmental budgets and ensure cost control measures are in place
- Work closely with senior management to develop and implement long-term operational strategies
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and minimise guest impact during maintenance activities
- Lead emergency response efforts for any system failures or hotel emergencies
- Foster a positive and proactive work environment focused on continuous improvement
- Minimum of 6 years' experience as a Chief Engineer or in a similar senior engineering role within a large-scale, luxury hotel environment
- Proven background in managing a large engineering team (20+ staff)
- Strong technical expertise across hotel systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building operations
- Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on team development and operational excellence
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of budget management, cost control, and vendor relationships

**Salary**: Negotiable based on experience
