**About the role**
Our client is one of the world's most recognisable Retailers and has a reputation for providing employees with an enjoyable and fulfilling working environment where management is always there for support but allows employees to work autonomously and trust when it comes to their day-to-day workings that they will always get the job done.

This is a regional position and the incumbent will be supporting retail analysis, the system controls setup and accounting reporting needs for Asia Pacific. This position will be based in Melbourne working closely with all APAC markets on a day-to-day basis, assisting with POS reporting requirements and providing support to local finance teams.

**Responsibilities**
- Validate daily inventory receipts
- POS system support
- Reconcile discrepancies and make required adjustments
- Review store transfers in and out and ensure completeness on both sides
- Liaise with retail stores regarding variances and outstanding items
- Setup inventory controls and propose process optimisation
- Regular and timely status updates to local Retail Accountants
- Retail Cost Validation
- Responsible for Cost Variance analysis
- Understand drivers for cost deviations from standard, propose solutions to minimise future expose
- Work closely with markets to have all discrepancies corrected in a timely manner
- Ensure all variances are resolved by the financial month-end close
- Responsible for maintaining
- Retail Sales Audit matching and reconciliation

**Skills / Experience**
- Experience Retail industry 3+yrs
- APTOS/POS experience
- Degree Qualified in an accounting discipline
- Strong attention to detail but also capable of seeing the bigger picture
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
