**About You**:
You are an experienced and highly passionate Safety Manager who thrives on being able to mentor your stakeholders to bring about an elevation in safety culture. You are used. to working in a multi site environment and know how best execute plans to mitigate HSW risk and prevent incidents and injuries and influence safety behaviour. You enjoy working autonomously and have knowledge of legislation across Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania. You have a strong strategic view but are able to also work at a detailed and operational level. You are also looking for a position where you can have a real impact in an organisation with strong values and purpose.
The essential Skills and Qualifications you need:
- Tertiary qualifications in an HSE discipline
- Demonstrated results in improving safety culture and HSE results
- Minimum of 5 years' experience within a large, diverse and multi-site organisation
- Broad understanding and working knowledge of WHS and Workers' Compensation legislation
- Strong ability to consult and deliver results
- Able to influence at a Regional level
**Your new role**:
Your primary focus will be to identify HSW needs and develop improvement activities to support line management to execute business strategy which meets or exceeds legislative requirements. You will be a part of a National team reporting to the Executive General Manager Health, safety and Sustainability and have accountability for the Southern Region. This incorporates multiple locations and operations. You will quickly learn about our organisation and the unique operating conditions in the end-of-life industry.
You will be accountable for:
- Reviewing and analysing HSE performance
- Driving continuous improvement while establishing HSW as a core leadership value
- Managing audit programs to schedule and close out of associated non-conformances
- Implement HSW Management System and policies
- Providing recommendations regarding prevention of incidents and risks
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and regulatory requirements
