**Job Description**:
We are seeking a safety leader to join our Group HSE team to coordinate safety on our Fuels & Gases operations in Victoria. Based out of Spotswood, you will work with operations leadership teams on D&G sites, to nurture and develop our safety obsessed culture and drive our HSE strategy and commitment, in what can be high risk environments.
With a focus on behavioral safety, he ability to influence and engage is essential to foster trusted relationships from peer to senior leadership level. Coordinating safety across 3 main sites plus 2 satellite operations, you will play an intrinsic role in implementing HSE initiatives and training that will continually progress our safety culture and performance across these Dangerous Goods transport operations.
Key accountability and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Take the lead in coaching and mentoring your stakeholder groups on HSE strategies and activities that allow and encourage a safety obsessed culture.
- Develop and review all site HSE Plans, in partnership with key stakeholders ensuring alignment with Business Unit HSE Plan and assist the business in achieving all objectives and targets.
- Be accountable for driving HSE governance processes including undertaking HSE system and compliance audits.
- Identify and implement HSE training and communication programs that articulate Group HSE information and safety expectation.
- Review the quality of information submitted into incident management system, including safety conversations, hazard identifications, corrective actions, incidents and investigations and person hours.
**Qualifications**:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Practical HSE experience in a transport operation and an HSE qualification Cert 4/ Diploma/Degree.
- Knowledge and understanding of associated risks in a Dangerous Goods transport environment is desirable not essential.
- Experience in relationship management of both internal clients and external stakeholder.
- An understanding of ICAM investigation model and auditing is an advantage.
