This will be a great position for someone that wants to make a change in Children and Young Person's lives.A genuinely rewardingPermanent Part-Time or Casual role, with most time spent in the house or participating in recreational activities.You will be working directly with children and young people; The positions are based in a 24/7 Residential Setting with fortnightly rotating shift rosters.Suitable applicants will be asked to attend an Information Session and Interview, held in-person, on Thursday 18 th September 2025 atthe Life Without Barriers, Geelong Office.
Information Session 9:30am - 11:00am / 1:1 Interviews between 11:00am - 3:30pm.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide day to day care, supervision and transport to children and young peopleActively participate in activities and increase competencies of young peopleForm and maintain professional, nurturing relationshipsDevelop, implement and monitor individual plansActively support the child/young person to develop and maintain social skillsMaintenance of progress notes and report writingSkills & ExperienceCertificate 4 in Community Services, Youth Work, Mental Health, or similar is preferredA current First Aid and CPR Certificate, or willingness to complete prior to commencementAbility to work various shifts (sleepover & active nights) throughout the weekPrior knowledge and/or experience working with children or young peopleSuccessful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Vulnerable People checkWork for one of Australia's largest social purpose organisationsLife Without Barriers offers ongoing training, support and career advancement opportunitiesHow to ApplyInclude your resume and cover letter in one document, click 'Apply' and follow the prompts.
