**About Us**

With Head Office based in Camberwell, manufacturing in Braeside this business offers a variety of food products for their 18 retail shops that consist of pastries, breads, cakes, and sweets.

Reporting to the Directors the Retail Operations Manager is responsible to deliver retail and operational strategies while leading and mentoring (3) Area Managers, and 240 retail staff to drive profitable sales across multiple sites. It's going to be an incredibly busy but exciting role where no two days will be the same and you enjoy dealing with staff and understand key financials to ensure the business reaches targets.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Lead a team a of approx. 13 for each store across 18 retail outlets
- Ensure all stores are managed to achieve successful targets
- Understand strategic plans (covering existing/new products, pricing, industry trends etc)
- Utilise a variety of reports, sales, gross margin, stock, expenses, net profit
- Maximising sales, revenue & growth by providing exceptional leadership
- Build key stake-holder relationships with head office, manufacturing, and retail outlets
- Understanding of health & safety, quality assurance and production requirements
- Implement and streamline OHS and Food Safety processes, procedures, and systems

**Experience & Qualifications***
- Manage retail processes to increase productivity and results
- Handle difficult problems or complaints to provide desired solutions
- Deal with internal staff or departments daily to achieve required outcomes
- Demonstrated experience working within retail food environment
- The ability to provide leadership and guidance to the team
- Strong retail sales ability who enjoys the thrill of a sale and drives sales processes
- Enthusiastic leader who is self-motivated that has a passion for retail food
- Customer orientated approach with excellent communication skills
