We are a company on the move and with forecasted growth of L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems Australia we are now seeking to hire a Procurement Specialist who will be responsible to meet customer delivery and engineering projects on time.
**Responsibilities will include**:
The Procurement Specialist function will provide the following vital services to the Supply Chain / Procurement team:
- Raising Purchase Orders in accordance with operational requirements and update and maintain Status of Sent to Suppliers.
- Receive, review and record that Purchase Order Acknowledgments are provided to Terms requested on the Purchase Order.
- Actively manage Purchase Order due dates and work with suppliers to achieve 100% on time delivery.
- Actively manage past-due Purchase Order lines and expedite.
- Regularly query and update records to maintain integrity and accuracy of data.
- Produce reports as required for purchasing analysis and reporting using ERP.
- Actively support other departments in a collaborative manner
- Establish, build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Actively participate and provide input to regular Purchasing/Planning Team Meetings.
- Maintain a continuous improvement mindset.
**Essential Requirements**:
- Extensive experience in a Procurement Specialist capacity
- Awareness/understanding of Purchasing and production activities within a quality-controlled setting
- Diploma in Business/Purchasing, Certificate IV in Business Administration or a combination or equivalent experience and/or education/training
- Possess good interpersonal skills to be able to get along well with other workers (cohesion)
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office Excel and Word, experience using ERP/MRP systems.
- Communicate clearly and concisely to internal and external parties
- Accuracy, thoroughness, persistence and attention to detail
- Project a positive and professional image through in-person and telephone interaction
- Discretion with confidential and/or sensitive information
- Productive Time management
- Ability to prepare high level written reports to internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently
