As a Senior Sales Engineer (SSE), you will be a critical part of the Commvault NSW team, driving pre-sales engagement and technical excellence.
You will be an expert on Commvault's products and services, understand the presales methodology, and how decisions impact the customer's bottom line while driving revenue for Commvault.
To succeed in this role, you must be a self-motivated, confident professional who thrives in collaborative environments.
You'll be a trusted advisor across all levels both internally and within our partner and customer communities.
You bring a deep understanding of pre-sales methodologies, technical leadership, and a passion for innovative technology, helping customers translate business challenges into impactful technical solutions.
What You Will Bring 8+ years in software or storage industries 10+ years in a pre-sales engineer role Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern technologies (containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift) Experience working with Enterprise & Public Sector Clients and competitive knowledge in the market.
Expertise in data management solutions (backup & recovery, security resilience, migration, compliance, cloud workloads).
Solid grasp of software licensing, cloud sizing, and enterprise applications (SAP, Oracle, Exchange, SharePoint, Active Directory).
Deep knowledge of infrastructure technologies (storage, servers, networking, cloud, hyper-convergence).
Ability to travel interstate as required Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce) and sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC).
BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related IT field (preferred).
