Ventia's Defence Base Services (DBS) Contract is the largest provider of Defence estate support services and facilities management. We have over 20 years' experience delivering base support capability, including hospitality and catering.

**About the Role**

The National Manager of Hospitality and Catering is a key leader within the DBS Contract, providing strategic direction to site based, operational teams as well and effective client engagement.

In this role you will drive continuous improvement and consistency, through the development and refinement and implementation of strategies, processes and procedures relating to menu development, waste management, food safety, and compliance.

This exciting role will provide you with autonomy and agency to shape the hospitality and catering portfolio within the DBS contract.

With operations spread across Australia, travel on a semi regular basis (approximately once per month for a few days at a time) will be an expectation of this role. This role can be based anywhere in Australia.

**Additional Duties**:

- Coordinating the development and implementation of key H&C strategies and action plans that ensure sustainable long-term Defence capability.
- Implement new growth programs and innovations based on industry best practice.
- Influence current Contract with strategies embedding Ventia as provider of choice.
- Provide project management oversight and/or support on H&C growth and cost cutting projects.
- Advise and provide technical support to contract on matters of H&C sustainability.
- Analyse business data to provide insights and direction on improvement programs.
- Oversee the develop and implement H&C policies and procedures to ensure national consistency.

**About You**:

- Expert at stakeholder management, able to communicate up to the executive leadership level, as well as to the operational team on the ground.
- Ability to coach and influence are essential attributes to the success of this role.
- Extensive experience in building and maintaining collaborative working relationship with clients.
- Confident in reporting, negotiating, and your ability to positively impact.
- You will have extensive experience in Hospitality and Catering, with detailed knowledge of menu development, waste management, food safety, quality and compliance.
- Exposure to a defence environment is not essential but would be advantageous.
