We are excited to partner with our State Government client to engage aManager – Rail Safety (AO8).
Working within their Infrastructure Delivery Office, you will contribute to a safe, efficient, and effective network by improving capacity, reliability, and safety.
You will implement the Rail and WHS safety processes developed for projects within the Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office.
Reporting to the Project Director, your key responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing policies, guidelines, procedures, programs, and initiatives to support safety processes, ensuring compliance with legislation and standards.
Implementing Project Safety Assurance activities.
Maintaining oversight of safety assurance activities by contracted entities.
Preparing and presenting regular reports on safety assurance and management activities to project and program leadership teams.
Leading and supporting Project safety management activities, including risk assessment, safety observations, and risk mitigation planning.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A tertiary qualification in Health and Safety, Business, or a related field.
At least 8 years of experience working on large rail or major infrastructure projects.
ICAM lead investigator (preferred).
Internal Auditor qualifications (preferred).
Experience working with relevant WHS acts, regulations, codes of practice, guidelines, and AS/ISO standards.
Experience working with regulatory bodies including ONRSR and OFSC.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively plan, implement, and manage safety activities, and to provide strategic advice to senior management.
This is a temporary role for 6 months, with a possible extension, based in the Brisbane CBD.
