**Your New Role**

The Governance Manager is part of a specialist team that maintains and strengthens the governance and accountability arrangements in our Member Domain.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, this role will contribute to achieving the Member Domain's ambition to build a world-class domestic member services business, while elevating risk management and exploring opportunities as they present.

You will have strong knowledge and experience in corporate governance and superannuation or other highly regulated environment. The ability to provide constructive challenge, oversight and advice to senior stakeholders is essential.

Key responsibilities include:

- Manage the Member Domain's policy ecosystem, reviewing governance artefacts (frameworks, policies, standards), supporting their lifecycle management and continuous improvement
- Provide Line 1 governance input on papers using the RAPID tool for a key decision-making forum, supporting good and timely decision making by the authorised delegate, and support compliance with frameworks, policies and standards
- Support 'reasonable steps' under FAR in the Member Domain including regular assessments
- Provide Line 1 governance input on regulatory responses regarding decision-making and reasonable steps
- Engage stakeholders and work collaboratively across AustralianSuper broadly, supporting good governance and decision-making practices
- Advocate for better practice in governance by communicating with influence, proactively identifying opportunities to strengthen existing business practice, and staying abreast of industry trends.

**What You'll Need**
- Long-standing experience in corporate governance preferably in financial services or other highly regulated environment
- Tertiary qualification in commerce, finance, law, business, accounting or risk governance
- Demonstrated ability to understand and translate regulatory requirements to shape business outcomes
- Ability to influence including with senior leaders to align requirements while delivering commercial priorities
- Enquiring, curious, and continuous improvement mindset with ability to provide constructive challenge
- Sophisticated written and oral communication/interpersonal skills with ability to negotiate and finalise outcomes
- Well-developed analytical and research skills and strong attention to detail.
