The surgery is going to be open 5 days a week, with no lone working at any time.
Your working hours will be between 08:00 AM to 18:30 PM, Monday to Friday.To do this, we need friendly, capable local people to help us run the practice and right now, were looking for a part-time Administrator to join our team.Main duties of the jobWhats the roleAs an Administrator, youll be the welcoming face of the practice, helping patients feel supported from the moment they walk in.

We have a great team on our board that guide our organisation, and you will be supported to excel in your role.Job responsibilitiesWe are looking to recruit an experienced General Practice Administrator to work as part of a team providing a full administrative service.To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team.
Duties can include, but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, the processing of information and assisting patients as required.To act as the central point of contact for patients, be responsible for the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaise with multi-disciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.Key requirements of the role:The following are the core responsibilities of the Receptionist.
There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks.
This will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:Maintain and monitor the practice appointment systemProcess personal, telephone and e-requests for appointmentsAnswer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriatelySignpost patients to the correct serviceInitiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agenciesCode data on the clinical IT systemPhotocopy documentation as requiredData entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as requiredInput data into patients healthcare records as necessaryDirect requests for information, i.e., SAR, insurance solicitors letters and DVLA forms to the administrative teamManage all queries as necessary in an efficient mannerCarry out system searches as requestedMaintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all timesMonitor and maintain the reception area and notice boardsSupport all clinical staff with general tasks as requestedConfidentialityIn the performance of the duties outlined in this Job Description, the post-holder may have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers and other healthcare workers.
They may also have access to information relating to the service as a business organisation.
