Key Accountabilities
- Conduct hazardous protection testing and assessment of equipment and materials in accordance with standards, procedures, and work instructions
- Undertake assessment of equipment design to determine compliance to applicable standards
- Prepare concise test reports and test records for review
- Develop a working knowledge of applicable standards, regulations (mining and electrical) and test procedures associated with testing activities
- Schedule own daily work assignments to ensure that customer service requirements are met
- Check and verify work of other testing and assessment officers
- Consult, negotiate and maintain effective communication with all parties involved
- Deal with sensitive or confidential information in an appropriate manner
- Contribute to the maintenance of laboratory operations and facilities

The following attributes are considered highly desirable
- Applicants with either an Engineering Electrical/ Electronic/ Mechanical Tradesperson, or possess a minimum of certificate 3 in a relevant electrical/ electronic/ mechanical discipline
- Possession of a current and valid driver's licence
- Successfully undertaking a medical which classifies them as fit to work in the mining industry without any restrictions
- Knowledge and experience in quality driven laboratories or industries
