We are looking for a Part time Conference & Events Coordinator to join our sales and events team

Predominately this position will be part time hours doing on average 3 days per week on various days between Monday to Friday. The Conference & Events Coordinator is required to oversee their function which may include early mornings, late finishes and occasionally weekend & Public Holiday work.

You will be assisting with:

- The prompt preparation and follow up of proposals & quotes.
- Allocating appropriate event and accommodation space and contract events to IHG standards Create Banquet Event Orders (BEO) for each event and distribute to all departments and providing your Manager with a daily update on the day's revenue, expenses and enquiries.
- You will maintain a strong knowledge of packages and specials within the hotel and act as the primary contact for detailed meeting/event planning, working closely with Banquet Operations, F&B management, Reservations, Rooms Division operation, Finance and external suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the company.
- Problem solving and organizational abilities. - Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Experience with Delphi Salesforce and Opera. - Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1 year related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
