We are looking for a **Safety Coordinator** to join our Production division.

Reporting to the Safety Manager, the Safety Coordinator will be responsible for:

- Supporting WHS Manager in the development and implementation of management systems, including policies, procedures and manuals
- Administration of WHS records, i.e. Induction, training, hazard register, environmental waste reports, etc
- Facilitating WHS inductions for workers and contractors
- Co-ordinating training for WHS practices
- Assisting and monitoring rehabilitation of employees to support their return to work activities
- Monitoring currency of appropriate on-site licences e.g. forklift licences, first aid certificates etc. and arrange training as appropriate
- Assisting in hazard identification, investigation of incidents and unsafe working conditions, the identification of possible causes and the recommendation of remedial action
- Assisting with WHS&E internal audits, inspections and risk assessments as required.
- Complying with all Quality, Work Health & Safety, and Environment legislation and regulatory requirements.

**To be successful in these roles, you will need to meet the following criteria**:

- Microsoft Suite Skills (Excel, Outlook, Word etc.)
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal (with the ability to build strong relationships internally & externally)
- Knowledge of WHS legislation preferred
- Relevant HSE tertiary qualification, i.e.. WHS, risk management, health science, environmental
- First Aid and CPR training (desired)
- Must be able to maintain utmost confidentiality
- "Hands on" with the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong attention to detail
- Initiative and ability to learn.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in similar position / industry.
