Overview
We are recruiting for a
Coordinator
on a
full-time basis, 38 hours per week
to join our team at
YMCA Burleigh Heads Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service
.
The OSHC Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the service and the management of a team of Educators. You will receive support from a dedicated management team, consisting of fellow Coordinators, a Senior Coordinator, an Area Coordinator, a Regional Manager and the OSHC Manager.
Responsibilities
The development of quality programs
Manage the day-to-day running of the programs
Coordinate staffing and rostering
Ensure compliance with policy
Undertake administrative requirements
Work collaboratively with families and the school community
Qualifications
Completed (or close to completing) a relevant qualification in Childcare or Teaching (minimum - Diploma of Children's Services)
Sound experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare
You thrive in delivering Excellent customer service
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Valid First Aid and CPR certifications, or the willingness to obtain them
Current Blue Card, or the willingness to obtain one

YMCA Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services care for children before school, after school and during holidays across 50+ school sites throughout South East Queensland. We are the fastest growing OSHC provider in the South East, which in turn provides our staff with the ability to grow and move through the company as their careers head to the next level.
About Your Workplace At The Y
YMCA Burleigh Heads Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is located in the School Hall at Burleigh Heads State School. We are licensed for 75 children and we offer Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care between 6.30am- 6pm.
At YMCA Burleigh Heads OSHC we play, connect and learn on Yugambeh land and we support our families to connect with us, and be a part of this community through communication and input. We aspire to create a place where the children belong, a space that they have a level of ownership over. We are passionate about child's choice activities and listening to their needs when creating a program and our menu. Our team of educators bring education to life through fun and engaging activities for children of varying ages; where they can explore, create, grow and learn. Children connect to this community and collaborate with educators and each other to create a routine that they love.
Children enjoy outdoor play with access to the oval, basketball courts and multiple adventure playgrounds. Afternoon tea is typically enjoyed through a picnic styled experience at the picnic tables or the picnic mats. Drawing and creating are readily available during all indoor and outdoor play opportunities.
Inside children explore through imaginative and creative play every BSC and ASC sessions. Children often utilise the hall for dancing, talent shows and creative movement. It is our hope that children feel safe, secure and supported during their time with us.
At YMCA Burleigh Heads OSHC we teach the children our key values that 'we are caring, honest, respectful, make good choices and have fun' Children are taught 5 areas of respect: respect for educators, themselves, each other, the equipment and the environment. We instil these values in the children to foster an environment that is fun, welcoming and inclusive. Children are encouraged to reflect on how they are active contributors to this community and their involvement to ensure these values at YMCA Burleigh Heads OSHC.
