The role involves editing 1–2 YouTube videos per week, typically 8–20 minutes in length, with occasional long-form edits and short-form adaptations for Instagram Reels and TikTok. This is a remote freelance opportunity with a preference for editors based in West Africa or the Caribbean.
Responsibilities
Edit 1–2 YouTube videos per week (8–20 minutes) with occasional long-form edits.
Add branded motion graphics, lower thirds, and smooth transitions.
Perform basic color correction, audio leveling, and visual grading to achieve stylish, consistent outputs.
Adapt content for YouTube, Instagram Reels, and TikTok, following platform requirements.
Collaborate with the creator, incorporate feedback, and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
Proven experience editing content for YouTube, ideally in the food, lifestyle, or fashion space.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Strong storytelling and pacing for long-form and short-form digital video.
Ability to add branded motion graphics and perform color and audio correction.
Knowledge of platform-specific requirements for YouTube, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.
Collaborative and receptive to creative feedback; reliable to deliver 1–2 edits per week and handle occasional larger projects.
Location preference: West Africa or the Caribbean.
