Job Description
The Hextech Gameplay team develops custom technologies and tools that power the creation of gaming experiences within League of Legends. As a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on tooling and engine systems for League of Legends, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality workflows for engineers and designers.
You'll advance workflow tools that enable creators to bring their visions to life at scale and provide expert level support for these technologies. This role will work closely with teams globally to shape the future of gaming.
This position requires design, build, and maintain software systems with a focus on quality, reliability, and maintainability. You'll uphold a high standard of engineering excellence, participate in code reviews, write unit/integration tests, and contribute to continuous improvement of team practices.
Collaborate with designers, product managers, producers, and other engineers to understand their workflows, scope, implement, and test features. Debug and resolve issues in live environments and development pipelines. Write clear documentation and communicate technical details across disciplines.
Design, build, and maintain software systems with a focus on quality, reliability, and maintainability.
Uphold a high standard of engineering excellence.
Participate in code reviews, write unit/integration tests, and contribute to continuous improvement of team practices.
Collaborate with designers, product managers, producers, and other engineers to understand their workflows, scope, implement, and test features.

Required Skills and Qualifications
We're looking for individuals who possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or comparable field or equivalent experience.
4+ years experience in professional software development.
3+ years of professional experience and proficiency with C++.
Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, concurrency, etc.).
Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating across disciplines.
