Want to be part of an exciting tray erecting/logistics facility? Are you mechanically minded and results driven?

This is a superb opportunity for a strong Operations Assistant to join our global packaging business and be part of establishing and running our cardboard tray erecting facility in Mareeba QLD. This site services the local and regional horticulture segments which require corrugated trays and cartons for fruit, vegetable and citrus products.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a key role in:

- Setting up and operating tray erecting machines
- Planning for and carrying out preventative maintenance and managing the erector spare parts inventory
- Ensuring work flows through the machines at required speeds to meet quality and customer needs
- Taking customer orders and assisting with deliveries (loading/unloading trucks)
- Providing technical coaching and support to the team to continually improve processes and work practices
- Supervising and allocating work to seasonal labour hire casuals
- Assisting in the coordination of resources necessary to continually achieve high quality, safety and production levels
- Providing back up support to the Site Manager on a daily basis and during periods of leave
