**The opportunity**

We are seeking an experienced **Projects & Reliability Supervisor **to join our Assets and Projects team**, **responsible for the** **project delivery,** **optimisation and improvement of the mine processing plant and NPI.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a mechanical trade background experienced with project coordination, construction and an understanding of mining operations.

Working on a Full-time **8 days on 6 days off** roster, FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton.

**To be successful in the role, the following is essential**:

- Relevant Trade qualification (Mechanical or Civil)
- WA C Class Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated experience supervising/coordinating mining construction projects
- In-depth technical knowledge with optimisation of fixed plant equipment and performance
- Schedule 26 Appointed Persons
- Experience using SAP
- National Police clearance

**Key Duties**:

- as directed by the Project Delivery Manager;
- Manage and coordinate all short
- and long-term capital projects to ensure effective and efficient project execution
- Propose and implement proactive maintenance strategies including; machinery upgrades, infrastructure optimisation and utilisation, reliability testing and monitoring, contractor management processes, as well as building internal capability and specialist skills training facilitation to improve KML responsiveness to mechanical faults and subsequently decrease reliance on specialist contractor troubleshooting
- Provide support including project logistics to all disciplines within the operational team
- Work with project team members to assess and investigate project deviations and take ownership from start to completion, looking at cost reduction, equipment reliability by ensuring assets are fit for purpose
- Proactively record comments after the completion of each task/project noting identified opportunities for improvement
- Complete post project inspections and relative documentation ensuring new asset/facility is ready to be put in service
- Ensure the stakeholders have correct and updated information to best perform their functions

**About Karara Mining**

Located 200 km south-east of Geraldton in the Shire of Perenjori, Western Australia Karara has an expected mine life of 30+ years. The operation includes a large open pit mine, complex ore processing and beneficiation plant and significant infrastructure and logistics networks. As part of the logistics network Karara owns and operates 80km of railway between Tilley Junction and the Karara mine site, linking the Karara Export Terminal at the Port of Geraldton, able to handle up to 16 Mtpa of export product from a dedicated berth, with associated rail and train unloading infrastructure.
