As we continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista / Assistant Supervisor to join our team and help us maintain our high standards.

**Position Overview**:
As an Assistant Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shop. You will work closely with the Manager to oversee daily activities, maintain inventory, and uphold our commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about coffee culture and eager to contribute to a dynamic team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Manager in day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Supervise and support staff members, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Ensure that all customers receive friendly, efficient service and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the cafe.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as necessary.
- Assist with scheduling staff and managing payroll in accordance with budgetary guidelines.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling procedures and cleanliness standards.
- Collaborate with the Manager to develop and implement strategies for increasing sales and improving overall performance.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in the food service industry.
- Passion for coffee and strong barista skills, able to produce free pour latte art.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Food handler's certificate or willingness to obtain one.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: From $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
