Warehouse Operator Traineeship

Fletcher Insulation is partnering with MRAEL to source a highly motivated and enthusiastic **Warehouse Operator Trainee** to join the team, based in** **in** Dandenong.**

**What's involved?**

As the **Warehouse Operator Trainee** you are responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate undertaking of warehouse tasks -loading & unloading trucks, stock placement, security and counting. There is also a responsibility to provide information to customers and staff as required, and to contribute to the efficient operation of the warehouse.

**Work Type**:
This role is a full-time 24 month Traineeship. Monday - Friday - (7am - 3pm) |** **_Hours will increase to 12 hour days during peak trade in December. _**

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Adhere to site OH+S policies and procedures
- Participate in hazard identification and risk assessments
- Participate in Productivity Improvement Projects
- Data entry - computer duties
- Forklift operating
- Ensuring storage is to safe standards and protects product from damage
- Participate in regular cycle counts and stock-takes
- Accurate and safe loading of transport ready for distribution to customers
- Accurate and safe receipt & distribution / storage of product / purchased items
- Manual handling and packaging of bought in lines and fabrication products of raw manufactured products
- Provide assistance where required to maintain the smooth operation of the whole plant, within limits of training and competence

**You will be supported with**:

- All technical training provided
- Obtaining necessary work licenses and qualifications - Obtain a Nationally recognised qualification
- **_Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations_**:

- Ongoing support, training and mentoring

**About you**:

- 1+ years Forklift experience
- Current LF Forklift license
- Previous experience loading/unloading trucks
- Physically fit with the ability to complete manual tasks
- Ability to be flexible to support business requirements
- Have a continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to understand and comply with production orders
- Ability to pick orders accurately
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Identify any discrepancies and escalate to the relevant authority
- Conduct cycle counts
- Maintain acceptable levels of housekeeping
- Genuine interest in a career within Logistics
- Must be eligible to complete an Apprenticeship/Traineeship in Australia
- Full Australian Working Rights
