**About Us**:
Reporting to the **Manager, Demand Planning APAC**, the **Market Demand Planner** is critical in developing the demand forecast using data such as sales inputs on promotions and distribution, shipment history, competitive activities and marketing plans.
- Known and graded within SC Johnson & Son Pty Ltd as _**_Associate Manager, Demand Planning._**

This position is key to creating and managing the true** consumer demand **signals which drives the supply chain and company goals.

This role will be the conduit in the cluster and country between the commercial teams and regional supply chain planning.

You will be charged with making decisions that impact the demand plan and confidently communicate those decisions to key management stakeholders.

If you are a well-rounded individual, able to **manage ambiguit**y, who possesses **e**xception analytical, communication and leadership skills**, who quickly identifies deviations from expected results and other disruptions and is able to promptly resolve issues, you will thrive in this fast-paced and exciting role.

**About the Role**:

- Use and maintain current demand planning systems to create a reliable and highly accurate forecast possible
- Collect and analyse past and future demand inputs (such as distribution gains/losses, price changes, new/discontinued products and promotion plans) from sales and marketing and calculate their impacts on demand
- Make proactive recommendations to enhance business processes, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies
- Work with numerous cross functional partners on projects such as new product launches, discontinuations, and transitions to evaluate assumptions

- Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Marketing, and Finance for advertising and promotional activities
- Manage and deliver **extremely detailed, multi-step S&OP process**:

- Ensure demand forecast is shared in minute level of detail and timing required by internal customers and supply chain partners with documented assumptions
- Be confident and extremely influential, collaborating with key partners in marketing, sales and finance to address input gaps as identified by forecast error/bias review & root cause analysis
- Measure, analyse, and communicate key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators, while driving continuous improvement

**About You**:

- Degree qualified, preferably economics, supply chain management, engineering or related business field
- Solid senior level Demand Planning experience the within FMCG / Consumer Goods Industry
- A strong understanding of all elements of the Supply Chain function
- Demonstrated results working in a team-based, cross functional environment, with an **extremely detailed, multi-step S&OP process**:

- Knowledge of the NZ market highly desirable
- Hands-on experience in demand planning and simulation systems or tools (SAP APO DP, Demantra or equivalent)
